From Engineering to Consulting to AI Products: My Career Operating System
A personal operating model for moving across technical depth, strategy, operations and product creation.
The thread is not a job title. It is a way of turning complex systems into structured decisions and operating outcomes.
The career path can look unusual from the outside: civil and structural engineering, infrastructure consulting, SaaS growth, leadership advisory, public-sector transformation and AI products.
The connecting thread is systems work.
Engineering taught me to respect constraints and consequences. Consulting taught me to structure ambiguity, communicate with decision makers and move from analysis to action. Product and operations work taught me that strategy only matters when it changes behavior inside a workflow.
AI now brings those threads together. The most valuable AI products are not isolated models. They are workflow systems: they take messy inputs, create structure, support decisions and improve how teams operate.
That is the operating system I keep returning to: understand the system, find the leverage point, build a structured path from problem to outcome and make the work usable by the people who need to carry it forward.
