DP World’s latest push to strengthen east-coast logistics routes points to a larger strategic shift in the Gulf.
The GCC has built strong ports, railways and pipelines, but resilience depends on linking them into one regional system. Shared customs, data, storage, spare capacity and regular stress tests are needed so trade, energy and essential supplies can shift quickly when Hormuz or another corridor is disrupted.
